Few titles accept the immortalisation of cult classicism as gracefully as Midori Takada’s 1983 debut. Before recently, a favourite gemstone in the crown of minimalist ambient collectors, Through The Looking Glass has the mystic power to unite all on the spectrum - a richness incomparable. Every once in a while an album commands loyal following from all cuts of cloth- ‘suddenly indie kids, techno heads, Balearic beards and psych collectors were all united in rapturous counter chatter, all raving about this Japanese ambient classic…’ The agonising wait for WRWTFWW to rerelease this ambient grail was long, but well worth it. Therein lay lullaby, mystery, hypnotism, magic and chaos.
