From the 27th March to the 1st April, FutureEverything will embark upon a city-wide programme of innovative live events in Manchester for it's 19th year.
Shuf are thrilled to be supporting the takeover which includes a series of live shows that are set to raise the bar for curation and performance in a city that is constantly looking to move forward. Proceedings begin on the 27th with a performance from the masterminds behind our 7th favourite album of last year, DARKSIDE. Their taking over of the Ritz will bring 'Psychic' to live in spectacularly hypnotic fashion and will set a precedent for a series of events that looks far into the future. Following that, the ever-mysterious Dean Blunt will be bringing his highly regarded live show to Soup Kitchen before Evian Christ and Koreless utilise the fantastic RNCM space the following evening.
That's just 3 days in. Berlin label Mooncircle will showcase some of their celebrated roster at Soup Kitchen on the 30th before a debut European performance from the sidewalk pop-heroine, The Space Lady in the stunning surroundings of Manchester Art Gallery. The event then bows out in a lull of noise courtesy of Tim Hecker and Julianna Barwick. Hecker's forward-thinking craftsmanship and thick soundscapes will be the perfect swan-song to a cluster of events that raise the live music scene in Manchester year after year.
We will be covering as many of the events as possible and you can find information on tickets and all the other attractions right here.
If you are based in the North of England and want to see the boundaries of live music truly stretched, then this is your chance. Amazing spaces, fantastic acts and a truly remarkable format.
